About Me

I love teaching and traveling, so I decided to start this blog to share my experiences with the world.  It’s been a year since I’ve moved to the U.A.E. and it was the best decision I have made in my life.  Ten years ago I decided to change careers to become a teacher to help inspire and shape young minds.  I taught in schools on the south side of Chicago, in some of the roughest communities.Through many reciprocal teaching moments, I learned  from my students experiences as well as they have from mine.  Despite the trials and tribulations I’ve endured, my journey in the urban population was very rewarding and enlightening.  Now I’ve gone global and with this opportunity, I would like to be a window into the world of international education and travel.

Nice!!! Best wishes on your journey!!! I taught in Saudi, but I have heard so many good things about teaching and life in the U.A.E. As a matter of fact, some teachers who left Saudi (because it’s pretty restrictive) yet wanted to remain in the Middle East opted to go to the U.A.E. instead. I’m sure you’re enjoying it. Thanks for stopping by my blog, too.
